BURKHARDT/MÖLLMANN was founded in 2008 in Berlin by Simon Burkhardt and
Tim Möllmann. With the season for Autumn/Winter 2010/11 the duo presents the
second collection, called B/M 102.

The collection B/M102 focuses on time and the change of transience.
The items of the collection transform their shape through the fact of wearing and tear-off .
Being on the journey of transience, the pieces are developing character that are telling own
stories. Materials become worn out, conforming to their fate of being
worn. Previously vibrant shades of colour fade, little by little
becoming worn, forming new patterns. Edges which had once been cleanly
covered become visible once again, giving a clear insight into the many
different layers of a piece of clothing.

Butterflysoulfire designers Maria Thomas and Thoas Lindner may have comically achieved a new way to blend the old and new, but fall’s collection takes a more stern approach than usual. Dressed predominantly in the customary black, the range takes shape around a modest uniform that is expanded with effortless draping. From simply sleek tops and billowing pant shapes to a nomadic push of oversize garments, Butterflysoulfire grows as that label that pushes the envelope, while remaining accessible to the landscape.

DONT SHOOT THE MESSENGERS is the second collaboration between
Berlin-based designers Jennifer Ann Gilpin and Kyle Callanan.

The collection is inspired by detailed studies of Art Deco stained
glass techniques and composition, mixing the rich textures of fine calf
leather with the lofty transparency and iridescence of silk. Leather is
used to define the lines and contours of the body, while silk adds a
sense of fluidity and levity to meticulously crafted forms. The finest
materials are used throughout the collection, lending an exquisite
sense of materiality to the captivating forms. It is a connoisseur’s
collection, full of exquisite items to be collected and worn.

Derived from the couture pieces of leather and silk, a mirrored,
everyday line emerges as a complement to the collection. Crafted from
soft denim and fine jersey, the pieces are like raw carbon copies,
leaving the distinct lines that is the essence of the original concept.
